Grupo 21 is a volunteer-based initiative born out of a deep desire from stateside community leaders and elected officials of Puerto Rican heritage and our allies to further our efforts in support of a diverse and inclusive Executive Branch.
MISSION
Grupo 21’s mission is to help provide potential qualified candidates who are interested in public service, with the tools and resources necessary to apply for positions in the Executive Branch as political appointees, career Civil or Foreign Service members, or to serve in Commissions or Boards.
WHY GRUPO 21?
The use of the number 21 reflects our commitment to promote an Executive Branch that embraces diversity and inclusiveness and therefore mirrors 21st Century America.
The number 21 is also a tribute to the life and extraordinary on- and off-the-field contributions of the late Puerto Rican and professional baseball player Roberto Clemente, who wore the number 21 during his days with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
WHERE ARE OUR ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS?
Grupo 21’s Advisory Council members represent 15 States, as well as the District of Columbia, and the list keeps growing.
